American Songwriter, Rare & 247Health are looking for creative, thorough, and detail-oriented staff content writers to join the editorial team. Must be able to self-edit work, complete projects on time, and write effectively for multiple formats.

Content Writer

A Staff Content Writer’s responsibilities include creating print and digital content that is readable, accurate, and ready for publication, generating ideas for new content, news stories, and evergreen articles on a tight deadline. A successful candidate will have broad knowledge that spans music and radio, the online world, as well as trends, and other elements of pop culture. There may be opportunities to attend press junkets, interview artists, and break news but much of the daily work will include aggregation. It will include skimming press releases, chasing leads, verifying tips and rumors, attempting to get quotes, reviewing aired programming, or re-purposing content from other outlets. It will also, largely, be a position that requires evening hours. Ultimately, you’ll be creating quality written pieces that appeal to our audience and boost brand awareness.

Responsibilities:

  • Write a mix of news articles, features, and evergreen content daily—producing well-researched content for publication online and in print.
  • Communicate regularly with managers, publicists, and label representatives.

  • Proofread and edit posts before publication.
  • Submit work to editors for input and approval.
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone).

Creative Video Producer - Showrunner

Rare Money is seeking a creative video producer to provide overall operational oversight and creative execution. This position will work directly with on camera talent, writers, and editors to ensure timely delivery of periodic video content.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented Creative Video Producer with a dedication to style and story to join the team at our Nashville facility. This position will work directly with on-camera talent, writers, and editors to ensure timely delivery of periodic video content that aligns with the Rare Money brand voice and creative vision for each video series.

Responsibilities:

  • Create original content from start to finish on a daily basis for distribution across multiple digital and social platforms
  • Produce both short-form and long-form video and motion graphics at a high level
  • Produce content in a variety of styles and techniques, while working within Rare Finance brand style guide
  • Consistently seek out resources, ideas and methods to innovate in the production space and to motivate content creators
  • Exercise creativity and self-motivation to contribute and actively be a part of a culture of professionalism and exceptional production
  • Help lead, manage and support the video/motion graphics team members
  • Coordinate projects, production schedules and department needs with the creative leadership team
  • Help develop, implement, execute and manage department initiatives, workflows and processes
  • Actively engage in the creative process for both post-production and livestream production needs; work with all parties to achieve defined goals.

  • Working knowledge of social platforms and history of growing audience scale via socials and other platforms to 50,000 or more
  • Experience with live production and video series content preferred
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently, delivering high quality results under the pressure of deadlines, with routinely quick turnaround times

Studio/Production Equipment Manager

A detailed-oriented Studio/Production Equipment Manager with experience with video production equipment and is comfortable operating a camera.

About the Role:

The successful Studio/Production Equipment Manager will maintain, organize, repair and track all production equipment. Will research and recommend purchases for new equipment. Will consistently coordinate with producers, production manager and other crew to schedule equipment for shoots, and will manage our production studio. Will also have the ability to do basic camera operating for small, in-studio shoots.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Basic Camera Operating for In-Studio Video Shoots
• Oversee and Maintain in-house production studio
• Tracking, Maintaining and Organizing all production gear and equipment
• Prep all gear for field shoots and often attend shoots and help out as a PA/Grip
• Ensure regular quality control of all gear
• Regular inventory of all gear and equipment
• Staying up to date on the latest gear and equipment trends
• Create, Implement and Enforce policies/procedures
• Willingness to learn all aspects of production (such as lighting for in-studio video shoots).
